It has a silky smooth texture and sweet high notes that tantalise the taste buds. And the best is saved till last with a lingering after-taste that's simply divine. A complex espresso blend that's forgiving enough to be pulled a little long, a little short a little hot and a little cold which makes it perfect for the home espresso enthusiast to get the very best out of there espresso machine.
God espresso blanding, ikke så mørk-ristet. R2+.
This shade grown coffee is creamy and sweet. It blew us away when we first tried it. This year it is even better; one of my all time favourites, one of the coffees that I would be devastated to lose if we were not able to get it. The cup leaves a mouth full of creamy caramel. It's a must try, even if you have had it from pervious crops. This is coffee at it's best.
In the cup is where this coffee gets weird. One minute this coffee is rich in body, with hints of spice, similar in many ways to Ethiopian Harrar with its earthy mushroom overtones, but with a surprisingly silky mouthfeel that lingers on and on long after the cup. In the next cup it might have the floral acid zip with jasmine that you would expect from a much cleaner coffee. The weird part is that one cup can be completely different to the next. Inconsistent, yes, good coffee, for sure.
So how does this year's crop differ to last? It is still very very clean, and retains a wicked after taste of spice. I now wish that I’d given it a 7 last year as it's got cleaner. However, one place I could reward it was with its greater sweetness than last year. Clean, sweet, spice, espresso.
The house espresso blend is in its 22nd incarnation and still going! It's the best yet to our taste buds. Like all good Italian blends it does contain a little Robusta (10%) to aid the crema and give a caffeine boost.
The He Visitado Blend is made up of Guatemala El Bosque from the Amatitlan region, El Salvador La Fany Bourbon from the Santa Ana region, and Nicaragua Limoncillo from Matagalpa. Clean, sweet, rich bright controlled body.
Resultatet er for syrligt/bright til mig. Ikke en jeg vil købe igen. R1.
Has Bean espresso blend has always contained a little robusta. We think it adds to the crema, but it's not to everyone's taste. So due to popular demand we think we have found something that comes mighty close to it. The crema stays, the taste stays, but the robusta is missing. 100% arabica beans this blend 100% quality.
God mørk-ristet espresso. God sød espresso smag. R2+.
For syrlig/bright til min smag. R1.
Halv Guatamala halv Columbia (??), mørkristet.
Rigtig god espresso med klassisk ukompliceret kaffe/espressosmag. R3.
Litt bitter sjokolade i ettersmaken.
Deep, dark and very very rich. Its smoothness is a delight, its silkiness it to savour. This is a celebration of many espresso cupping’s to find a perfect blend.
Noter af krydderi og jord. Ikke en klassisk espresso, men interessant. R2+.
This is a sweet light espresso blend that dances on the tongue, with a light aftertaste. This is the perfect espresso for a summer’s day. Made up from the finest from El Salvador a dash of Brazil with a hint of Guatemala, taken to a medium side of a medium dark.
This Yemen has the typical winey flavours, sharp acidity, yet smoothness of character with chocolate overtones and a heavy body. I don't like acidity in espresso, but this is divine. This coffee is also good in the French press.
