I tried to upgrade the firmware from 1.01 to 1.10 by copying the file directly to the card using a cardreader. It failed with "new firmware is broken turn off the camera".
When I tried the transfer program and used an usb-cable it worked. It seems it is necessary to use the transfer programs and a usb-cable.
