Impressions:

• the grinder looks well-made.
• most parts are wood or metal except the mounting hardware under the grinder, that is plastic.
• It can grind from coarser-than-I-will-ever-need to espresso fine.
• I cannot find information about where the grinder is made, I guess it is not germany then.

Note: I have not tested the grinder for espresso but it seems fine for french press.
